In part 9 we discussed breaking through the plateau from previously.
Along with the seasonal uptick of late November and the small increase from general launches and increased rankings we’re getting PR’s and large increases each week now, currently actually sitting near 60% of our £100k value goal on only week 37.
I do think a good chunk of this is to do with Xmas rush that Amazon experiences but it’s positive nonetheless.
In part 9 we discussed our new PR which was week 35 and £40.88 per day net profit.
Week 36 and 37 both had big jumps here. 36 coming in at £50/day and week 37 at £67/day.
Some really good quick progress considering only 5 weeks ago we were back down at £20/day.
As you can see 66% of the profit comes from 1 book, but this is the book that’s been hit the hardest on the marketing side originally, so results are pretty aligned, albeit quite substantial.
I’m pretty confident that this brand will hit the 6 figure mark early next year, even with it being on the backburner in general now due to other bigger opportunities.
Assuming the brand hits our first “challenge” goal of £100k value in 12 months we’ll be pivoting over to make it more of a real brand and scale this to £250k as a “stage 2 of the KDP challenge” - stage 3 of which might be to look for an exit in 2026 but we’ll cross that if and when.
For now, more of the same on the actual growth side, hard launching 2 newer books, that a lot of the individuals reading this will know about, the goal of which to get them to similar level, albeit probably less than the main book that does really well.
Through early 2025 Q1, there will be 3 core methods to ensure we hit the £100k goal, the first is what’s already been going on, just to simply keep pushing in the same/similar ways, push up reviews and rankings, launch one book a month etc.
The second though will be to fully develop another (external to Amazon) channel to tick up sales, that is still focused on organic granular marketing, not just paid ads. This will likely be YouTube but thinking about how to drive sales, not just views to the books will be a sticking point, one which we’ll cross in the new year.
The third is to actually build the brand outside of Amazon a little. Just core easy social plays, grow the email list and build the website up so the brand has more of a real feel, rather than just a KWFS only brand…
Cheers.
