Part 11 - £100,000 KDP Brand Case Study
Previously we discussed week 37 for the KDP case study, this week saw a massive uptick that was a mix of strong single book performance and also the Xmas rush for KDP and FBA sellers.
Week 38-39-40 saw this tick up even further, with 1 or 2 weeks actually “achieving” our £100/day profit mark, although I believe this is probably enhanced about 100% by the Xmas rush.
So in reality as great and quick as this was, it’s realistically probably only around £50 profit per day figure currently.
Week 38 ticked up to about £600/week profit.
Week 39 actually hit our goal;
And week 40 was slightly lower, there’s also some testing going into PPC/advertising which is taken off on a per book basis. This is more of a technical Amazon PPC case study rather than investing in ads to actually generate an ROI. So these campaigns are more around paying to find out the true information about what impacts what (as 90% of Amazon info online is wrong).
I also think moving forward over Christmas itself and into January we’ll see a pretty big drop off, although some of the issues are in the healthy eating sector, which usually picks up in January for obvious reasons.
Not much else to report on on this brand now, the drop after Xmas will be painful but we’ll see what kind of level we hit in mid January as the core “where we really are” metric.
I did want to reach £100/day profit mark within a year or roughly within 50-60 weeks but we’ll see where we are.
